Saint Alfred's Upcoming Events: Oldsmar Cares Christmas Toy Drive The Oldsmar Cares Christmas Toy Drive will be held on December 6-7. The collection box for items will be in the Narthex for the dates listed above. Oldsmar Cares is collecting toys/gifts for children and teens. We have been asked to focus on gifts for preteens and teens 11- to 16-year-olds. Some suggestions for this age group are as follows: arts and crafts supplies, science-related activities, books for young people, make-up, nail polish; gift cards to stores such as Target or Walmart (please put card’s value on gift card). If you prefer to shop from home, here is Oldsmar Cares' link to Amazon that provides a list of specific requests. Items purchased will be shipped directly to the person in charge at Oldsmar Cares. https://www.amazon.com/hz/wishlist/ls/1FJAAAP8MWO4K?ref_=wl_share DeeDee Herndon for the Outreach Team Follow-up Sessions for the Introduction to Centering Prayer The follow-up sessions to the Introductory Workshop are offered online (Zoom link will be emailed to participants) on Tuesdays, 7:00-8:30 p.m. The in-person sessions will be on Wednesdays, 2:30-4:00 p.m. (note time change to avoid car line) in Garrett Chapel. Participants may attend either one. If you miss a session, you may watch the video in the link provided in the email, then catch up the next week. Monday Night Bible Study Please join us every Monday Night at 7:00 p.m., in the Parish Library, for our Bible Study classes. St. Alfred's Book Club Please join us every 1st Wednesday of the Month in the Parish Library for our book club. The following is as scheduled: Book Club's Reading Schedule for 2026 January 8 - Our annual presentation to each other of books we read and enjoyed last year. February 4 - The Heirs by Susan Rieger March 4 - One-Way Ticket by William Tapply April 1 - The Name of the Rose by Umberto Eco May through December: To be decided. Men's Ministry The next gathering will be on Sunday, December 6th at 8:45 a.m. in the Parish Library. Men are meeting together monthly for fellowship and to encourage each other in prayer, study and service. All men of the church are welcome to attend. A Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols Please join us ono Sunday, December 14th at 4:00 p.m. for a Festival of Nine Lessons and Carols. The Choir of The Church of the Good Shepherd in Dunedin, and their Organist/Choirmaster Tom Huffman, will join St. Alfred's Choir and Kevin Johnson in this annual service for the Advent/Christmas seasons. Christmas Eve Service Our Christmas Eve Service is as follows: 4:00 p.m. Christmas Eve Service 9:30 p.m. Choral Prelude with Strings, Bells and Organ 10:00 p.m. Festival Choral Eucharist with Strings, Bells and Organ Christmas Day Service Christmas Day Service will be held on Thursday, December 25th at 10:00 a.m. St. Alfred's Polo Shirts Shirts are ordered on a monthly basis. Please complete an Order Form with payment included (cash or check) and place in an envelope marked with your name and "Polo Shirt."
