Stewardship at St. Alfred'sSt. Alfred’s long ago moved beyond thinking of stewardship as simply a fund-raising drive in the fall to balance next year’s budget. Rather, we have come to understand stewardship as the holy call placed on each of us to commit ourselves to caring for, protecting, nurturing, and celebrating all of the gifts God has blessed us with that make our lives so meaningful and rich.
This year, our Stewardship Campaign is entitled “Plenty Good Room," based on the spiritual of the same name by The Rev. James Cleveland, and Jesus’ words of comfort to his disciples: “Trust me. There is plenty of room for you in my Father’s home.” (John 14:2, The Message). |
