Organ Recital Series

Shawn Thomas will be playing on the Organ.  Shawn is the Organist and Music Director at Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Largo Florida.  This half-hour program is part of a Lenten Organ Recital Series sponsored by the Clearwater Chapter of the American Guild of Organist in several area Churches. 

Women Composers Sunday

St. Alfred’s Episcopal Church

Sunday, March 8, 2026 has been designated “Women Composer Sunday” by the American Guild of Organists and will be celebrated nationwide. St. Alfred’s participated in this celebration last year and we will participate again this year. The organ and choral music at the 10 a.m. Eucharist will all be composed by women.

This program will include works by: Amy Beach, Emma Lou Diemer, Hildegard of Bingen, Luise Adolpha LeBeau, Fanny Mendelssohn-Hensel, Angela Morley, and Natalia Timofeyeva.

Lenten Choral Evensong with Theresa Villani, Cello
Sunday, March 15 at 4:00 p.m.
St. Alfred’s Parish Choir, directed by Kevin Johnson, Organist-Choirmaster

St. Alfred’s Parish Choir, under the direction of Organist-Choirmaster Kevin Johnson, will sing a service of Choral Evensong, on Sunday afternoon, March 15, The Fourth Sunday in Lent. The service will include hymns, the evening canticles Magnificat and Nunc Dimittis, a Psalm, sung prayers and an anthem. Prelude and offertory music will be offered by Theresa Villani, cellist.
