Worship Traditions
St. Alfred’s Episcopal Church is rooted in the rich and reverent tradition of Anglican worship, shaped by beauty, prayer, and sacrament. At the heart of our common life is the Holy Eucharist, celebrated with dignity and joy, where word and sacrament draw us into the mystery of God’s grace. Complementing this central act of worship is Evensong, a timeless offering of psalms, Scripture, and prayer that invites quiet reflection and praise. These services are deeply enriched by the work of our Organist and Choirmaster Kevin Johnson, along with our choirs and instrumentalists. St. Alfred's music ranges from plainsong to the great choral works of both ancient and modern composers, offering worship that engages both heart and mind in the glory of God.
